The Eccentric Rod is bolted to the Eccentric Crank on the main driving wheel. Also bolted to the Eccentric Rod is the vertical Transmission Yoke bolted to the Link Block moving around the curved Expansion Link. Above the Expansion Link and also bolted to both sides of the Link Block is the Auxiliary Reach Rod, two corner brackets bolted to two horizontal 4” narrow strips. These strips linked to the Main Reach Rod consisting of a 3 ½” screwed rod threaded through a small coupling and fixed into a threaded coupling. This was connected to a universal coupling connected to a simple gear box. The moving joints were ‘tight’ fitted to allow for a smooth movement. This ‘fit’ applied to the entire model. In front of the leading driving wheel the valve rod is connected by the arm (a small strip)to the bell crank inner arm. This arm and crank outer arm has two arms of the vertical radius hanger connected to them. The hanger is fitted to the eccentric rod the other end of which is attached to the eccentric crank which is tight fitted to the main driving pin on the main driving wheel.
