Dave Denner – in Memoriam

It with deep sadness that I inform of the passing of Dave Denner from the Melbourne Meccano Club. Those of you who have met Dave will know what an inspirational and dedicated Meccano and Train fan he was. Some of you may have met Dave at SkegEx in 2007.

Dave was the 83 years old. He had been diagnosed with cancer in several places of his body and all treatments had failed however he continued on at home. On Friday morning May 6th, Dave fell over. He managed to call an ambulance and get to Box Hill hospital but he died on Saturday afternoon.

Dave will be missed but the joy he gave to children and adults alike with his Meccano and model trains will never be forgotten.

There will be no funeral, as requested by Dave before he passed.
